The Story of Valley German Shorthaired Pointers
How We Got Started
We adopted our first German Shorthaired Pointers in the Spring of 2015. We did a lot of research before we decided on the perfect dog for our family. We wanted a good all-around family dog who also had some hunting instinct. Our dogs are very loving, energetic, and intelligent dogs. Good in the field and a valued part of the family.
We drove all the way to Ottawa, Ontario from the Annapolis Valley, in Nova Scotia to pick up our first two GSPs...and it was well worth it. It took us 2 days to drive straight there and back (20 hours each way). We came home with 2 female puppies and named them Bella (solid black) and Tessa (black and white spotted)...best decision we ever made. After a few years, we decided to breed and our business began to grow. We now have 5 actively breeding females with plans to grow our business/GSP family even further. Our dogs consist of Solid black, solid liver, Black & white spotted and Liver roan/ticked, all of which are CKC registered purebreds.
